By creating an account, opening the app, or otherwise using Papiano, you agree to be bound by these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Community Guidelines. If you do not agree to all three, do not use Papiano.
If you are using Papiano on behalf of someone else — for example a minor in your care — you confirm you have the authority to accept these Terms for them.
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Papiano account. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use Papiano with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
We do not knowingly collect account data from children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we will disable it and delete the associated account data, subject to Section 13 (Data retention) of the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately at security@papiano.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law, or that we reasonably believe puts other players, the service, or third parties at risk. Section 11 explains termination in more detail.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Papiano for your own non-commercial enjoyment of the piano application and its online features.
This license does not give you any ownership right in Papiano. You may not sublicense, sell, rent, or commercially exploit access to the app without our prior written permission.
You agree not to: exploit bugs or vulnerabilities for advantage or disruption; scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from Papiano; reverse engineer or decompile the client or backend services except where a law makes that restriction unenforceable; attempt unauthorized access to accounts, rooms, or infrastructure; interfere with or degrade the service for other players; or use Papiano for any unlawful purpose.
Day-to-day conduct expectations for chat, rooms, and profiles — harassment, spam, impersonation, and similar issues — are set out in the Community Guidelines, which are part of these Terms by reference.
You retain ownership of the content you submit to Papiano — profile details, bio, avatar, chat messages, and uploaded images. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate, secure, and moderate Papiano's online features. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept as required by Section 13 of the Privacy Policy or by law.
You are responsible for content you share and confirm you have the rights necessary to share it. Do not upload content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
The Papiano name, logo, interface design, and underlying software are owned by the operator or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Third-party assets used inside Papiano, such as SoundFont audio, remain the property of their respective owners and are credited on the Contributor page where applicable.
If you believe content on Papiano infringes your intellectual property rights, send a written notice to legal@papiano.app identifying the material, your rights, and your contact information. We will review and act on valid notices, which may include removing content or restricting the account that posted it.
Papiano Credit is an optional, pay-as-you-go balance you can spend in-app (AI chat, the Piano Visualizer, and similar features) or earn for free through daily quests. Buying credit is a one-time purchase, not a subscription — there is nothing to cancel and nothing auto-renews. The purchase rate ($1 = 100 Credits) and available amounts are shown on the Credit page and may change with notice.
All credit purchases are final and non-refundable once the credits are added to your account. Because credits are consumed as you use paid features, we cannot reverse a purchase after the fact. If you believe you were charged in error, contact legal@papiano.app with your account details before your credits are added — requests made after fulfillment will not be granted.
Papiano relies on third-party infrastructure — including Amazon Web Services for hosting, authentication, and data storage — to operate. Papiano also links to third-party community spaces (Discord, X, TikTok, Telegram). Your use of those third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control.
Papiano is provided on an "as available" basis. Features, modes, and online systems may be added, changed, or removed as the project develops, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access, particularly during active development or maintenance.
You may stop using Papiano and, where supported, delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law, or if we discontinue Papiano or a specific feature.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, and 15 — remain in effect after your account is closed.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Papiano is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Papiano will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of Papiano, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid the operator in the twelve months before the claim, or 500,000 IDR.
You agree to indemnify and hold the operator harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your content, or your misuse of Papiano.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact legal@papiano.app so we can attempt to resolve the dispute informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Indonesian courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect and the unenforceable provision will be interpreted to reflect the parties' original intent as closely as possible. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Community Guidelines, are the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding Papiano and supersede any earlier agreements on the same subject.
We may update these Terms as Papiano develops. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date and, where practical, announced through the app or official community channels. Continuing to use Papiano after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
